Alec Monopoly: Luxury Tax

29 November 2013 - 18 January 2014

Mead Carney is proud to present Luxury Tax, the first London show by internationally renowned street artist Alec Monopoly.

The artist arrives in London fresh from creating artworks for the 2013 MTV European Music Awards - recipients of the artist's work include Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg and The Killers, not forgetting the hottest man of the moment, the Anchorman himself, Ron Burgundy - better known as actor Will Ferrell.

The London show, titled Luxury Tax, is a humorous and poignant commentary on the themes of luxury, wealth, excess, and the causation and economic consequence of the 2008 global financial meltdown.

While collaborations with Madonna, Adrien Brody and Avicii have led to sold out exhibitions all over the world, the artist's iconic street pieces ensure his work remains front and centre for a generation of urban art enthusiasts.
