With a First Class Honours degree in Photography and a Masters in Fine Art Photography from Edinburgh College of Art, Rich Hardcastle’s fine art photography combines an intelligent and acutely observed visual humour that is frequently imbued with a quiet pathos. His striking, highly original aesthetic has attracted critical acclaim worldwide.

His striking, highly original aesthetic has attracted industrywide acclaim and has led commissions publications including Rolling Stone, Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar and two exhibitions, Dark Tales and his latest, Mr Detective Man, featuring model, David Gandy, both staged at Mead Carney, Mayfair, London. 

 

Hardcastle has been an official BAFTA awards ceremony photographer for several years and has had two highly acclaimed exhibitions at Masters & Contemporary in London, entitled 'Dark Tales' and 'Mr Detective Man’, with works featuring Ricky Gervais, Jared Harris, David Gandy, Billy Zane, Tim Minchin, Rupert Grint, Michael Sheen, Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones) and Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders) among others. 

 

Several works by the artist also sit within the prestigious permanent collection of The National Portrait Gallery, London as well as numerous important private collections worldwide.
